Fees for evaluations are based on the purpose for the evaluation, age of the individual, complexity, time spent reviewing records, conducting interviews, observations, time testing, scoring and interpretation of data, report writing, and the follow-up session to discuss results.
From start to finish, the evaluation process typically ranges between 4-10 hours of Dr. Young’s time. Therefore, fees are variable depending on the evaluation. You will be provided an estimate of the fee during the free initial consultation appointment.
Fees for services are self-pay. Upon request, receipts of services will be provided for you to file with your insurance for possible reimbursement. Self-pay services typically reduce wait times to receive evaluations and provide the added benefit of individualized evaluations that address your area of concern instead of what insurance companies “approve” for your child. Most importantly, evaluations will include all relevant components for compliant consideration of school-based services (e.g., IEP or 504 plan), with the exception of formal teacher input, which is typically gathered in the school setting.
